User Guidelines

1. Kiln is intended to be loaded with hardwood firewood only.
2. Firewood is to be stacked lengthwise on either a purpose-built pallet or a metal 275 gallon tote modified for firewood. 
3. Put a slightly inflated inner tube on top of each pallet or tote.
4. Load 2 pallets or totes on either side of the kiln, flush to the back, providing a 4in gap on either outside wall.
5. Close doors.
6. Attach propane tank (or tanks).

The length of a cook to dry firewood to less than 20% moisture content depends on several factors. Species, consistent split size, if it’s green or freshly split. Slightly seasoned hardwood of medium density can dry with as little as 20-30# of propane in 9-13 hours. Green oak split for cooking can take as much as 100# and upwards of 40 hours.
